Behind the ALS Label

The technical name of this disease in Greek means “without nourishment to muscles.” Although doctors have a label to give people, ALS is still a complete mystery illness to medical communities. In the conventional medical world you will likely hear ALS described as a motor neuron disease. This is almost true. Medical science and research don’t yet know that ALS is actually a viral inflammatory illness where viruses are feeding off toxic heavy metals in the system, and this can affect neurons. Usually a high level of aluminum is one of the metals present in the brain and other parts of the body.

If you’ve been given an ALS label, you likely have a variety of heavy metals in your system, including an abundance of aluminum. In the book Medical Medium: Secrets Behind Chronic and Mystery Illness and How to Finally Heal, these toxic metals are the perfect fuel for viruses. In the case of ALS, there’s typically a severe viral infection of HHV-6 coupled with a few other herpes virus strains feeding on these metals. When symptoms increase in severity, and mild tingles and numbness turn into acute loss of muscle control, it’s often due to severe brain inflammation triggered by the viral infection.

If you find yourself in a wheelchair and doctors seem apprehensive about your chances of survival, it’s possible that your body is overrun with viruses. Once you reach this point, you can still turn your condition around. In this instance, it’s critical to work with a doctor or practitioner to create a healing protocol that incorporates foods and supplements that naturally fight viruses and draw heavy metals out of the body.

Medical communities are still tragically unaware of the true causes of people’s suffering when it comes to most neurological symptoms and conditions. A doctor may blame your genes or suggest that your body is attacking itself, but these trendy ideas are incorrect and damaging. It is discussed in-depth in Thyroid Healing.

A Reckless Diagnosis

ALS is a real illness, just like other chronic illnesses, but the damaging beliefs attached to the ALS label can destroy people’s health rather than help them understand that they’re fully capable of healing.

Being handed an ALS label today can have a similar effect on someone as the effect a HIV/AIDS diagnosis had on people during the 1980s AIDS crisis. This retrovirus was not the reason people were dying, but because a death sentence was so strongly associated with this diagnosis, people quickly fell into a hopeless, despairing headspace that greatly affected their overall health. Many of the people who had this virtually benign retrovirus were also suffering from terrible varieties of streptococcus that triggered pneumatic problems; a host of herpes viruses, including HHV-7, HHV-8, HHV-9, and the undiscovered varieties I brought to light, including HHV-10, HHV-11, and HHV-12; and/or suffered from exposure to pollutants, toxins, drugs, and toxic heavy metals.

For a number of reasons other than the retrovirus, people were experiencing the complete breakdown of their immune systems. When people were given an HIV/AIDS diagnosis in the early to mid 80s, they did not even consider the possibility that they could survive, and this led many people to quickly give up and fall apart mentally and physically. The reason it appears as though very few people are dying from HIV anymore is because the sources perpetuating this damaging falsehood quieted. This is allowing people’s immune systems to strengthen and stay fortified.

An ALS diagnosis seems to affect people similarly, which is why I often refer to it as a “reckless diagnosis.” It’s important to understand the weight a diagnosis can have, and how beliefs about a diagnosis can lead to immense fear or panic. If a person has severe viral infections, their condition may worsen because of these emotional responses.

In the medical world, diagnosing ALS is basically a guessing game. The doctor will likely observe the patient struggling with more and more symptoms as the prescribed immunosuppressive drugs, steroids, or antibiotics fail to improve the patient’s condition. If the patient continues to steadily decline, the doctor may give the patient a diagnosis of ALS (or another neurological disease).

The current neurological testing doctors use to identify ALS is far from error-free and rarely offers information that doctors can use with complete certainty. Numerous neurologists I’ve spoken with have agreed with me on this issue. They’ve mentioned multiple cases where perfectly healthy patients have had worrisome results show up on neurological tests. Yet the patient had never struggled with the suggested issues and these issues never arose as time progressed. You may still want to have neurological testing done, but be aware of the tests’ potential inaccuracies.

Men and Women

Men are diagnosed with ALS a little more frequently than women. Although men have often been considered stronger than women in various ways throughout history, when it comes to battling illness, women have consistently demonstrated a stronger will to live than their male counterparts.

Women possess a mighty will to survive, grow stronger, and bear the elements. This fiery will helps women bear the weight of a diagnosis as well as symptoms and conditions better than most men. In many cases, men quickly decline after being handed diagnoses that cause them to feel unwell or useless for a prolonged period of time. This is especially true in cases where there is a sense of hopelessness already attached to the label, such as ALS.

Overcoming an ALS Diagnosis

James, 47, a client I worked with years ago, started noticing stiffness in his hands, shoulders, and legs while working at his factory job. Then he started to experience muscle twitching and numbness. A neurologist diagnosed James with ALS based off his symptoms alone. This was a completely incorrect diagnosis. James was actually exhibiting symptoms of Guillain-Barré syndrome, another mystery condition. (The true cause of Guillain-Barré—which is unknown to medical communities—in Medical Medium).

Shortly after James was handed an ALS diagnosis, he began experiencing twitches. He sought out the opinion of two other specialists, who didn’t contradict the ALS diagnosis and who suggested that in about five to seven years his body would completely fall apart. This news left James in a constant state of stress and emotional turmoil. All of this exacerbated James’s symptoms, feeding his growing panic. Around this time, James’s wife, Julie, learned of me and sought out an appointment.

I relayed to them that James had a herpes virus, HHV-6 in his brain, as well as heavy metals, including high levels of aluminum and copper. After this assessment, the couple remarked that they must’ve come to the wrong place because James was diagnosed with ALS. I explained to James that he had merely been given a label for his mystery illness, not a true cause.

I explained to James and Julie that a viral inflammatory condition in James’ brain was responsible for his neurological problems. Not only was his body battling HHV-6, but it was fighting against two other herpes viruses as well. These viruses, which had invaded both his brain and spinal cord, were feeding off the high level of aluminum, as well as other heavy metals that were present in his system.

Spirit recommended James return to the factory he had been working at and ask for an exposure investigation. Upon investigation, it was discovered that aluminum oxide gas had been spewing out of a damaged ventilator pipe in the area James had been working. This aluminum dust and vapor, byproduct from aluminum work, had been silently poisoning the factory workers for months until Spirit made it known.

Once James no longer believed he was close to dying, his symptoms quickly improved. Part of his protocol was the heavy metal detox plan, which helped draw aluminum, copper, and mercury out of his body and brain. He also used natural antiviral supplements (for supplement recommendations and dosages, see Liver Rescue) to fight off HHV-6 and the other herpes viruses in his system.

Instead of suffering for five years until his body completely fell apart, like specialists had predicted, James fully healed and was able to embrace the life he’d been living prior to his illness.

Steps to Heal

Over the decades I’ve helped a number of other people completely reverse their ALS-labeled neurological symptoms. Below are some suggestions and recommendations that may help you begin your healing journey and live a full, vibrant life.

Glucose & Mineral Salts

If you’re suffering with a neurological symptom or condition, bringing ample glucose into your diet is critical. In order to heal, the central nervous system needs an abundance of the natural sugar found in fruits and carbohydrate-rich vegetables like potatoes and sweet potatoes.

High-fat, high-protein and low-carbohydrate diets are not preferable for anyone suffering with ALS, Lyme disease, multiple sclerosis (MS), or any other neurological symptoms or conditions. A diet filled with an abundance of natural glucose is critical in these cases. If you’re concerned about eating fruit, check out my chapter on Fruit Fear in Medical Medium.
